Position Title: Electrician
Department/Project: TSS‑E Range Sustainment – Fort Irwin
Position Summary
The Electrician installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs electrical power distribution and control systems
supporting ranges, buildings, targetry, and associated equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical circuits, panels, lighting, receptacles, and associated devices in
accordance with codes and technical data.
• Inspect and troubleshoot faults in wiring, conduits, switchgear, and distribution equipment supporting
range infrastructure.
• Support connection and maintenance of power supplies for electronic targetry, communications, and
control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and testing using meters and other test equipment;
document results.
• Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, Army standards, and Company safety policies.
• Coordinate outages and service interruptions with Range Operations and Government representatives
when required.
Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman‑level electrician training or equivalent experience; applicable state license if required by
law or contract.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and code requirements.
Physical/Other Requirements
• Work outdoors, in confined spaces, on ladders and elevated structures; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
