Position Title: Range Maintenance Worker/Fuel Handler
Department/Project: TSS‑E Range Sustainment – Fort Irwin
Position Summary
This hybrid position performs all duties of a Range Maintenance Worker and additionally handles,
dispenses, and accounts for fuel in support of generators, vehicles, and range equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform all duties listed under Range Maintenance Worker.
• Receive, store, and dispense fuel in accordance with federal, state, Army, and Company regulations
and policies.
• Fuel generators, heaters, vehicles, and other approved equipment on designated ranges and in
maintenance areas.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly fuel inventory, recordkeeping, and reconciliation; report
discrepancies immediately.
• Inspect fuel storage, lines, hoses, and dispensing equipment; report and assist in correcting leaks,
spills, and deficiencies.
• Implement spill‑prevention and response procedures, including use of spill kits and notification of
appropriate authorities.
• Maintain clean and orderly fueling areas and ensure proper grounding, bonding, and fire‑safety
measures are in place.
Minimum Qualifications
• All qualifications required of Range Maintenance Worker.
• Experience handling fuels, lubricants, or hazardous materials preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required fuel‑handling certifications, HAZMAT training, and
installation permits.
